Meet Ashton!

Ashton Patino is a master’s-level clinician at Playtime Therapy of Georgia, supervised by Kari Barrett, M.A., LPC, CPCS, RPT/S. Ashton graduated with her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in December 2025. Ashton also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art History from Kennesaw State University, which complements her ability to integrate creative, expressive approaches into her clinical work.

Ashton specializes in working with pre-teens and teens, offering support to those navigating challenges related to divorce, trauma, neurodiversity, anxiety, depression, relational conflict, and body image concerns. She is also interested in working with young adult women to support life changes, stress, anxiety, and relationship issues.

Her therapeutic style incorporates art therapy techniques and play therapy techniques paired with talk therapy, helping clients process emotions, communicate their inner experiences, and develop new coping skills in developmentally appropriate and engaging ways. Ashton is passionate about meeting kids, teens, and young adults where they are emotionally—creating a safe, supportive environment where they can express their big feelings freely and authentically.

Outside of the therapy room, Ashton can be found weightlifting, painting, finding a new tv show, exploring trails with her husband, or enjoying time with her two dogs, Poppyseed and Winnie. She also enjoys running a small photography business, drinking coffee, and spending time with family and friends.
