Being a young person is hard.

Support for Teens & Young Adults

Let’s talk about one of the trickiest parts of development: becoming an adult.

This stage of life is often written off as “kids just growing up” and learning life lessons. In reality, it is a critical developmental stage centered on problem solving, resilience, and identity formation.

This time of life can feel uncertain, but Ashton is here to help along the way.

Let’s talk.

Navigating young adulthood is hard. Changing relationships, increasing societal expectations, increased responsibilities, and pressure to perform well academically or occupationally all weigh heavily on most adolescents and young adults. Despite how hard they work to meet all of these demands, the reality is most kids struggle to keep up with the ever-growing list of responsibilities.

Talk therapy helps.

Research shows that teens and young adults alike benefit from counseling. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), only a little over half of teens (58.5%) receive the emotional support they need (Zablotsky et al., 2024). Despite this, the same study showed that 93.1% of parents believed their child was getting enough social and emotional support. This stark contrast highlights the need for supportive care for teens and young adults as they emerge into functioning adulthood. We would be honored to support your child through this developmental stage.
